Sailing School & Boat CharterCruising Carters Creek, the Rappahannock River or the Chesapeake Bay on a variety of boats and watercraft is a beloved pastime for guests of the Tides Inn, as well as mastering their skills at our Virginia sailing school located onsite.
COVE CRUISE:
Enjoy a scenic hour long cruise to view the beautiful sites along the river. From Dogwood trees and birds to beautiful homes, you'll enjoy this leisurely cruise. Please register with our Concierge by noon for the 2:00pm cruise. Resort guests : $12 for adults, Children Ages 4-12 $6 Area residents $20
Grab a paddle boat, kayak or canoe. For even more fun on the water you can rent a variety of boats from the Tides Inn:
-16' Electric Duffy $75 per hour Seats 6 -Skiff $45 per hour or $125 for 1/2 day Seats 4 and includes fishing license for the boat -Pontoon Boat $90 per hour or $250 for 1/2 day 12 person max Boat Snack Pack $12.00 Water and Snacks for 4 in a handy carry case Take along a picnic lunch or a little wine to enjoy while watching the magnificent sunsets over the Chesapeake Bay.

Premier Sailing School
Premier Sailing School, a Virginia sailing school, has a well deserved reputation for offering top quality instruction in a safe, fun environment. For those who want to learn the art of sailing in Virginia, the Premier Sailing School can offer both US Sailing certificate courses and a highly developed range of sailing courses for children as well as small boat courses for the entire family. This Virginia sailing school has a large fleet of boats including Sunfish, Lasers, Optimist Prams J24's and many more. Experience match racing or dinghy sailing right at the Tides Inn. Their current boat allows guests the choice of a close approach to area shorelines in all of the creeks or a run to close attractions such as Tangier Island, Reedville or the Piankatank and Corrotoman Rivers.
