Sail on a Historic Skipjack

Join us for a rare viewing of the beloved skipjack, Claud W. Somers, this fall at the Tides Inn Marina. Built on the Eastern shore of Virginia in 1911 by Tom Young, the once active oyster boat is now a prized possession of the Northern Neck.

Enjoy public viewings on October 12 and 26 or embark on an exclusive 2.5 hour excursion on October 19. Hoist and trim the sails with the guidance of an experienced captain or simply enjoy the beauty of Carter’s Creek from the deck of this historic vessel.
