Meet our Wellness Guide

Certified in Vinyasa Yoga, Barre, Energy Anatomy, Reiki and more, Rochelle Townsend attended the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where she furthered her knowledge of health and wellness. Believing yogic self care is a key component to a healthy lifestyle, Rochelle owned yoga studios in Colorado and New Jersey before relocating to our Northern Neck region.

Committed to the health and wellbeing of our guests, the Tides Inn offers a variety of wellness and fitness programs for all ages. Take advantage of our complimentary classes or book a private session with our Wellness Guide. Seasonal offerings, such as SUP Yoga, are a great way to enjoy the scenery of our Northern Neck region.

Complimentary Fitness Classes

These classes, in warm weather months, are hosted outdoors and in colder months, they are held in the fitness center.

Morning Stretch

Offered daily at 7:45am (30min)

Allow the warmth of the sun to warm your skin as you begin your day grounding to the earth. Move your body, deepen your breathing, lengthen your muscles with Rochelle as she guides you through movements that will leave you feeling relaxed and ready to start your day.

Meditation

Offered daily at 8:15am (15min)

This brief morning meditation is the perfect way to begin each day. Clear your mind, ground yourself, release stress. No practice needed for this guided class.

Yoga

Offered alternating mornings at 8:30am (1 hour)

Start the day off right as you unite your breath and get your body moving through various yoga poses with Rochelle. All levels welcome as the class can be adapted.

Pilates

Offered alternating mornings at 8:30am (1 hour)

All levels are welcome for this mat Pilates class involving core strength – and the lengthening and strengthening a Pilates class affords us. Utilization of the breath and body moving in time is a key focus of this class.

Fitness Center

Our Fitness Center is open 24/7 with views of Carter’s Creek. Enjoy complimentary fruit and cold towels while working out.

Tennis

At your leisure, enjoy the view of the Northern Neck while playing on our tennis courts. The Tides Inn also offers tennis instructors for those who would enjoy perfecting their skills on the court.

Pickle Ball

Grab a paddle and hit the court for an exciting game of pickle ball, the perfect combination of tennis, badminton and ping pong.
