Sample Family Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival and Maker Space Activity
- Arrive at the Tides Inn and meet with a member of our concierge team to go through your family’s itinerary.
- Join our artist, Theresa, for a family-friendly arts and crafts activity in the Maker Space.
Day 2 – Family Foodie Day
- Explore a day in the life of an apiarist with our beekeeping experience. After a short walk through our Forest Trail to our Bee Meadow, you will meet with our resident beekeeper for a brief introduction to the most vital pollinators, the European Honeybee. Opening your eyes to how it feels to be inside an apiary, the beekeeper teaches you about the extraordinary lives of honeybees. This workshop will conclude with a honey tasting of local, raw honey.
- Enjoy roasting S’mores on the beach, then move to the Chesapeake Restaurant for a menu both the adults and children will enjoy.
Day 3 – Get Out on the Water
- Connect with our resident ecologist and enjoy a morning on the water learning about the Blue Crab through our Beautiful Swimmers experience. Or rent a Duffy Boat, enjoy our complimentary kayaks, paddle boards or canoes and explore Carter’s Creek as a family.
Day 4 – Family Game Day
- Spend the day at the Tides enjoying family favorites, including croquet, bocce, pickleball, tennis par 3 golf and volleyball. Or, cozy up indoors with board games in front of the fireplace in the View Room.
