GOOD LUCK CELLARS, CHAMBOURSIN, 2011.  Aged for 18 months in French Oak, this vintage boasts delicate oak aromas with vivid fruit flavors and a light spicy finish. This local winery, just outside of Kilmarnock, resurrected an old sand and gravel mine—truly perfect for cultivating grapevines -- into a beautiful vineyard and winery.  The selected hand crafted estate grown wine on the Tides award winning list is of superb quality.

LINDEN WINES, HARDSCRABBLE CHARDONNAY, 2009. Characterized with a focused and persistent palate, this Chardonnay has an apricot richness and a sappy green apple finish as well as aromas of crystalized ginger, kiwi, stone dust, lime zest and honeysuckle. This Virginia winery located on the top of the Blue Ridge calls the 2009 growing season “uncommonly lucky” because of an amazingly dry stretch during their harvests on September 21, 22 and October 5, 2009. The vineyard was spared by rain, making this Chardonnay, peaking now, a perfect addition to Chesapeake Club’s award-winning list.
